Narrative Reading and Writing

Hi class. Please read the two narrative stories I gave you. Do the comprehension questions following the stories. Also, think about a personal story or important event or discovery that you can reflect on. Please give your story much consideration. Reading for next week

Hello class. Home work for next week, 10/24/12. Read chapter 7, Understanding Paragraphs,Detail and Transitions. Do Exercises "7-1" page 221. Do Exc. 1-3. Do exercise "7-2", pg. 225-do exc. 1-3. Read pages 229-231 (Most Common Types of Details). Do exercise "7-4", page 231-Do 1-5. Finally, continue to complete chapter 7. Read page 325-241. Enjoy your weekend, Prof. D. Westry

QUIZ

Hi everyone. I will give you the quiz sheet on Friday, 10/12. It will be an open book quiz on chapters 4 and 5. We will use it as a review for the chapters. Later, we will discuss certain items on the quiz. Also, read chapter 10 on "Highlighting" pages 350-359. Bring an article to class and we will highlight it for practice.
